Head of Content & Acting General Manager · Chicago · 2014 – 2019

  • Promoted to program director in 2014 at age 30 — the station’s youngest in decades and, at the time, the youngest at any major-market station in the country — leading a $7M budget and 22-person team; as acting general manager, grew responsibilities to $10M and 25 staff.
  • Oversaw programming, production, and operations across radio, digital, live events, podcasts, television, and social media — 250+ live broadcasts per year — doubling listening and doubling digital engagement.
  • Curated the station’s music and on-air programming for years — a central driver of that listening growth.
  • Transformed WFMT from a legacy radio organization into a multiplatform media operation, including an overhaul of the station’s app and website.
  • Expanded global syndication by rejoining the European Broadcasting Union, distributing the Chicago Symphony, New York Philharmonic, Lyric Opera, and more to hundreds of stations worldwide.
  • Drove record-breaking fundraising by turning underused content into high-performing offers, shortening campaigns by 30%.

  • Produced and hosted award-winning cultural journalism, newscasts, and live broadcasts.
  • Hosted and produced major international broadcast events: the Chopin Piano Competition (Warsaw), the Salzburg Festival (Austria), and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony (Norway).
  • Launched Introductions, the country’s only live weekly series celebrating pre-college musicians — still airing 15+ years later.
